At the risk of breaking the internet – or at least our webpage – please meet our latest
adoptable dog, Beetle!
While it might be hard to tear your eyes away from his adorable face, please read on to
find out more about Mr. Beetle.
Even though he may only be five months old, it’s pretty obvious that he is just about the
most perfect puppy ever. He is a lover of just about everything – food, other dogs,
people, snuggles, zoomies, you name it. Beetle is very close to being housetrained and
will sleep in his crate, but his preferred sleeping arrangements are with his humans, of
course!
Beetle has yet to meet a flat surface he doesn’t like – couch, coffee table, even the
open dishwasher! Don’t worry, though, he is very easily redirected. He just wants to test
out all his potential napping spots!
As previously mentioned, Beetle really (really) loves his food, so he must be fed
separately from any other animals in the house. He’s not food aggressive – he just
considers himself a “leftover supervisor” and will snag bites of any food left behind by
other animals!
Speaking of other animals, he gets along very well his two pug foster siblings (a male
and a female) and has met other dogs both large and small and has done wonderfully
with all. He is untested around cats, but with a slow introduction he’d probably be just
fine.
While Beetle loves having a fenced-in yard to run free, it’s not a requirement. Being
leashed for long periods of time isn’t his favorite thing in the world, but he will happily
take a short walk.
Because he is very much people-focused, it would be preferred if he go to a home
where his owner(s) is home most of the time. He’d absolutely make a great coworker if
you have a pet-friendly office, but be prepared for productivity in the workplace to
plummet – there’s no way to focus with a face that cute staring at you while you work!
Beetle has no chronic health conditions and would do well in any type of home
environment – house, suburbs, apartment, condo, etc. He would definitely love to have
a grassy area in his forever home, even if it isn’t fenced; he loves exploring the great
outdoors!
Beetle is going to make his forever home very, very happy so get your application in
ASAP!
