Bella Beanie

Bella Beanie

Our petite little princess Bella, aka Beanie, is a precious nugget who deserves a calm, loving, low-stress home. This sweet, snuggly, Velcro pup spent her last two years being a low-rank pup in a pack with two other dogs. In other words, she was bullied and now prefers being the sole member of canine royalty in her new home, or one with a very laid-back, non-dominant dog.

Beanie came to rescue after being a failed breeder dog and was adopted by the family with the two more dominant dogs. After that, she went to another home that returned her due to accidents. It’s no doubt that she was traumatized by all the changes she experienced.

An important necessity for this adoption is owners with knowledge and/or experience with diaphragmatic hernia and brachycephalic obstructive airway syndrome (BOAS) repair surgeries. Both issues are common in brachycephalic dogs and Beanie has had both surgeries.

Despite everything she’s been through, you’ll find this petite little girl is a class A-1 snuggle-bunny who loves, loves, loves her humans and her number one goal in life is to always be as close to them as possible.  But the couch isn’t her only target ambition, she also loves her at least once daily, ½ mile walk with her people. She also likes chewing on Yak bones. Although she is crate trained, she gets nervous when left in it for long periods.

Beanie needs a safe place where there are no dogs that would pick on her. She needs a home where someone either works from home or is otherwise home a lot, preferably a single person or an older couple. Most any environment would work, including a city, suburb, rural, and an apartment, townhouse, or single-family home. A fenced-in yard is a must!

Here’s what Beanie’s foster Mom has to say about this little cutie:

Beanie is as sweet as they come! She has a rough past of being bullied and will not stand up for herself so she deserves to be treated like a princess and get all the love possible. She thrives when she is with people. She does not need to be with other dogs. She travels best in a crate and is nervous on care rides, but tolerates them ok. She LOVES to eat. Don’t let her small size fool you.

If you have knowledge and experience with Beanie’s issues and can commit to giving her the love and care she needs, then fill out her adoption application.
