Dear humans,
We have two very important questions for you: do you love to snuggle? And did you know that snuggling is twice as amazing when you have two (or more!) squishy faces to do it with? Well, my name is Diesel, and I’m here to tell you that me and my best friend, King, can PROVE IT if you give us a chance! King is the most amazing guy, and he loves to be with me so much, he will even try to share my crate with me sometimes! He gets a little worried if he doesn’t know where I am, so we like to stick close. He’s a year younger than me, which means it’s my job to protect him. I take that job pretty seriously, so when you first meet me, I might be a little standoffish as I get my bearings for both of us. But once I know we’re safe, you will have me by your side all the time. I will even sit at your feet when you’re washing dishes! King can be a little bit shy at first, so he asked me to talk to all of you for us. But once he gets to know you a little bit, his silly side will come out, and he will be your best friend, too!
King and I have so much in common, it’s no wonder we’re inseparable buds. We are very good boys who are house and crate trained and so well behaved. We both love treats, squeaky toys, and soft blankets, and I wasn’t kidding about the snuggling! We feel so happy when our humans sit or lay down so we can get as close to them as possible and have a good nap. King especially loves any warm places he can snuggle in, on, or under to be nice and toasty! We both love people and are great with even the littlest ones. Even as we’re two peas in a pod and want to be together all the time, we are very devoted to our people and want to be close to you, too! We like other dogs, but it’s important that we get a good, careful introduction to them so we feel safe and get to say a proper hello at our own pace. Like most pups, we think a yard would be super fun; but to be honest, as long as we have each other and our beloved humans, we are happy to live wherever you are!
We are both vet checked Frenchies. When we first came into rescue I was regurgitating a lot. My foster family worked hard on carefully feeding me and when I was neutered I had a nose job and it took care of my regurgitation and any issue from a hiatal hernia. Of course nothing could be simple. From being on my back during surgery, I tweaked it. I saw a specialist and with some good meds and crate rest – I am as good as new. My brother has a slight heart murmur but didn’t stop him from getting neutered and he did so with flying colors. The vets were not concerned. Because it’s my job to look out for both of us forever, I think we should live with people who have experience with pups who are just like us. We are a special breed AND special boys, and there are a few things to keep an eye on going forward so we can live long, happy lives with our furever family. If that sounds like it could be you, please apply to adopt us!
With love from your new best buds,
Diesel and King
