We think SNORT foster Lord Winslow has found the fountain of youth! While his records say
he’s eight, we swear he has the energy (and looks, of course!) of a dog at least several years
younger.
Winslow is the perfect mix of playful and laid back. Like most bullies, a good nap (or several) is a
must during the day, preferably while basking in the sunshine. But Winslow also loves playtime
and his daily constitutional. He loves treats of all kinds – bones, yak chews, bully sticks. In an ideal
world, he would get to enjoy the sunshine from a fenced-in backyard while enjoying his chews
!
Another thing he loves? His humans. He is what we very affectionately call a “Velcro dog.” You
will never be alone with Winslow in the house. He’ll snuggle up to you on the couch, take part
in a good binge watching session, or just keep you company in the kitchen while you cook.
Speaking of food…Winslow loves food. And treats. He is very food motivated and food curious,
meaning if you have another dog in the house, Winslow will absolutely help himself to any food
left unattended (same goes for treats!) so he must be fed separately from any other dogs; he
can get a bit territorial of his own food and high-value treats.
Winslow gets along well with smaller, female dogs but has made it very clear he is not a fan of
larger, male dogs so he must go to either a dog-free home or a home with small, female dogs.
He is untested around cats. Winslow is also a very strong boy so a home with children over 13 is
best; he doesn’t realize his own strength so he might be a bit too much for younger children!
Other than an occasional ear infection, Winslow is a very healthy boy. He is a bit stubborn when
it comes to marking his territory inside of the house instead of outside sometimes, but a belly band helps
solve that little issue! But because he’s food motivated, he will be very receptive to continued
training to work on his potty habits and overall manners!
Winslow has always had his humans home during the day and we would really like to find a
home where his new family is home the majority of the time, as well. He gets a bit barky after
three hours of being alone and had made it very clear that solitary confinement (his words, not
ours!) is not for him.
While he would likely do well in almost any environment, he really does love having a yard to
explore. City living might be ok with him if his family was committed to taking him on several
walks a day.
You could not ask for a sweeter, more handsome, or playful bullie than Winslow. He really is
perfection wrapped up in a 60-pound body, so get your application in!
