Malkin

Malkin

Just look at that face! Sweetness galore, and pure devotion. That is Malkin in a nutshell.

It’s time for Malkin to get settled into a family where he’ll be treasured for the little gem that he is. He was originally surrendered because of allergies and then surrendered again because he nipped a toddler – no broken skin or medical treatment required. An important addendum to that is that the toddler was unsupervised when the bite occurred. However, because of this, Malkin needs to be placed in a home without small children.

Healthwise Malkin has no major issues, except for some seasonal allergies (grass) that will need to be monitored and addressed if needed. Otherwise, we’re talking an easy-peasy boy who enjoys the simple life of chewing on Benebones, daily walks, and major cuddle fests. Once summer comes, Malkin’s walks need to be managed carefully to prevent any breathing difficulties.

Handsome Malkin is pretty much a dream dog. He is housebroken, crate trained, and friendly to humans and fellow canines. An opportunity does exist to help him calm down when it comes to treat time. His exuberance for the pending treat can result in wanting to take fingers along with the treat, a totally non-aggressive, enthusiastic action.

Other than a home without young children, Malkin would do well in most situations, and especially with owners who have experience with short-nose dogs. Because of his allergies, a city setting in a single-family home, apartment, or townhouse would be ideal. Especially important is a family that is home often and/or that will take him wherever they go.

Herre’s what Malkin’s foster mom has to say:

Malkin is the complete package. He is as sweet as can be and loves to give gentle kisses. He has spurts of energy where he enjoys Benebones, toys, and short walks, and he is always down for snuggles.
