Nibbler is a 64 lb bundle of love wrapped in a big, playful package. Just look at those oversized paws—perfect for zooming around your backyard or living room! His coat is a warm blend of copper and brown, and it feels as soft as it looks. And the one sky-blue eye and one green eye? They’re simply irresistible. Nibbler is a blend of big boy strength and baby boy charm. He adores people of all ages, but his energetic nature might be too much for very young kids. He’s still a bit of a clumsy puppy and is working on his manners, so he needs a family with older children who can handle his exuberance. His goofy, affectionate demeanor will win you over in no time.
Nibbler has a strong prey drive when it comes to felines, so a cat-free home is best. A fenced-in yard is ideal for his boundless energy. Regular walks and a place to run and play are essential for keeping him happy. He can be a bit over zealous around other dogs so he may do best with another dog that can match his energy.
Nibbler might not be appropriate to bring to the office, but if you work from home he will gladly lay at your feet and keep you company all day. He is crate trained but will need regular bathroom breaks every 4-5 hours.
Nibbler may have a sensitivity to chicken, grain or possibly just low-quality dog food that caused alopecia, which is resolving. He currently eats a mixture of high quality freeze dried raw with a raw food topper which has made his coat soft and shiny again. His hair is growing back beautifully. He currently gets weekly medicated baths that help with the itching.
Nibbler thrives on affection and needs a loving, highly structured environment that is committed to guiding him as he grows. His boundless energy will settle with age, and he loves to be close to his people—so expect some cozy snuggles! He once even climbed into the shower just to be close to his foster mom.
