Meet Sir Walter Wiggles whose smile is as special and unique as he is! He may look tough, but he is really just a big softie with a huge heart and personality to match. And don’t let his age fool you! Adopting a senior dog isn’t about the time you have left together it’s about the love and happiness you can pack into every shared moment. He may not be running any marathons these days, but he loves daily walks and some serious playtime as much as those younger pups do! The rest of the time he is the ultimate snuggler and snorer who will happily nap just about anywhere, anytime. Walter is extremely loyal, smart, silly and SWEET. The only thing happier than his huge heart is his nubby tail. Walter is a champion tail wiggler and happy dancer and will wiggle his way into your heart in no time!
Adopting a senior dog is like fast forwarding to the best part, all the hard work is already done. Walter is fully housebroken, knows basic obedience and is an absolute gem on a leash. He is respectful and well behaved when left alone, gated in a small area. He gets along with dogs who are on the same level as he is, calm and non-confrontational. He can get a bit reactive if confronted by a reactive dog. He absolutely loves people of all ages. However, due to his size and lack of awareness of his immediate surroundings (typical EBD), smaller children would need STRICT supervision in his presence. Walter is a die hard “critter chaser” so cats would not be a good fit for him.
Being an EBD Walter does require some maintenance, daily cleaning of his wrinkles, folds and deep tail pocket are a MUST to keep yeast and bacterial infections at bay. Since he is a senior, he does have some arthritis but that doesn’t slow him down any thanks to his daily supplements. Walter is truly an easy dog whose love and devotion knows no bounds, making him the perfect addition to any home. His forever is just a wiggle away, will you be his happily ever after?
