Turbo

Turbo

Yep – you got it – a super, Turbo-charged canine engine that brings the perfect mix of high-speed energy and loving cuddliness. That’s the Turbo-pup in a nutshell.

To see Turbo now is to never recognize him when he came to rescue – a terrible, painful mix of sores and crusty skin with lots of hair loss. In fact, he was given up to rescue because his family said they couldn’t afford to deal with his allergies, that in fact, turned out to be an autoimmune skin disease called Pemphigus Foliaceus (PF).

Once diagnosed, thus began the treatment process which entailed a regimen of medications and baths, which he will need for the rest of his life.

With all that yuckiness dealt with, now our boy is a bouncing, playful, energetic boy. And let’s not forget loving. If there is a human sitting on a couch, he is right there, cuddled as close as he can get.

Turbo lives with an English Bulldog now and they get along famously. Cats? Unknown. Kids? The more the merrier.

This busy little spunky boy loves toys. Name the type of toy and he’s in. He loves stealing his fellow-canine’s toys when he’s not looking. But funniest of all, Turbo is obsessed with the garden hose. He knows when it is turned on even when he is in the house, and out he bursts. He then engages in a primal “dance” where he “attacks” it by barking and biting at the water. With energy spent, he’s ready for the couch (and you!)

Turbo is the ultimate adaptable pup, and therefore, he will do well in any situation and environment as long as he is with people who love him and are committed to his need for lifelong medical care, which entails daily pills, baths, ear cleanings, and ointments.

When all is said and done, our foster Moms always have the last word about their charge:

Once he was seen, diagnosed, and treated by the dermatologist, he became the most loving and playful dog. He will bring you his toys so you can play with him. He loves little “tippy taps” when he gets excited, and he loves to be near people. He is also good if he is alone, bit prefers to be around people. He curls up on the couch next to you when he gets tired and will lay on top of you if you are tired and he thinks it’s not time for you to sleep. Lol

If you can commit to giving Turbo the lifelong medical care and loving home that he needs, then fill out the application.
