Surrender a Dog

Home / Surrender a Dog
We are currently unable to accept any incoming dogs until January, 2019

If you’re in need of immediate assistance in placing your dog for adoption, we recommend contacting the following rescues:

IF YOU NEED TO SURRENDER A DOG, YOU MUST COMPLETE THE FORM AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE IN ITS ENTIRETY.

If you have a Boston Terrier, French Bulldog, Pug or English Bulldog (or a mix of those breeds) that you can no longer keep for any reason, please email or call one of the volunteers listed below. We are a rescue dedicated to helping your snorty friend find the perfect home. We will discuss the issue with you and try to find the best possible solution.

SNORT will take in your dog no matter the age or health status, as long as we have an open foster home. At times, we may have a waiting period until a foster home does open. If it is an emergency, we will work with you to find a place for your baby to go.

Please, please call us before you resort to putting your dog in a shelter!

All SNORT dogs live with volunteer foster families, where they will be loved and evaluated for medical and behavioral issues before being put up for adoption. Any medical needs, including spaying/neutering, will be tended to prior to adoption. All dogs spend a minimum of two weeks in the foster home. During that time we determine what kind of home would be best for each dog – whether he/she needs a home with or without other dogs, cats, kids, etc. After the evaluation period, the dog will be listed for adoption, and the search for the perfect home begins. No SNORT dog will be confined to a kennel or cage for hours on end; he/she will live with the foster family and be a loved pet until a permanent home is found.

Our application process is not on a first come, first served basis. We look for the home that best suits the dogs’ needs.
